Maryland After School OpportunityFund Program

Allegany County Public School children in grades 6/7/8 will haveaccess to comprehensive, quality after school programs to build youthresiliency and developmental assets that supports the state outcomesas defined by the Maryland Partnership of Children, Youth andFamilies.

Promote physical, mental and social well being and resiliencythrough a comprehensive menu of "Healthy Choices," "Study Circles,"curriculum to give students the skills to make appropriate lifechoices.

Provide a varied menu of community group presentations toreinforce the curriculum of choosing appropriate life choices.

Provide a rich variety of recreational choices for physical,mental and social development.
